It’s never an easy time after someone loses a loved one.  Not only do you have to make arrangements for a funeral, if that is what they wanted, but you have to also settle their financial affairs.  One of the bigger things to consider is any real estate that they may own.  

I’ve been playing hockey and baseball my whole life.  I received a call from Garvin, who I played baseball with about 20 years ago.  He called to say his mom had recently passed away.  She owned a condo apartment in Ajax and Garvin and his wife Eileen weren’t sure if they should sell it or rent it.  We made arrangements to meet at the unit so I could get a good look and give them an up-to-date evaluation.  Since I’ve sold quite a few units in the building I didn’t need to do it in two steps.

I presented them with both scenarios - one for selling and one for renting.  They really appreciated the work I put in and said they needed some time to decide what to do.  I told them to reach out if they had any further questions or needed anything else from me. 

After about a month, Garvin called to say they wanted to sell the condo.  I had my stager do a consultation and eventually, she staged the apartment.  Then I had my photographer take pictures and a virtual tour of the unit, including views from the balcony.  He also provided a floor plan of the unit.  

We then listed the condo apartment for sale and I sold it in a very slow market in just 3 weeks for 99% of the asking price! 

Garvin and Eileen were very happy with the service of not just me, but my team as well, especially my assistant Ginette.  You can see what they had to say below:
